Favourite affordable cruelty brand lip products for Australia

Since I have gone cruelty free in my products I've done a lot of research and come to the conclusion that whilst it is worth it for me going cruelty free its rather a bit more expensive here in Australia to go cruelty free however I have summed up some affordable lipproducts that are easily available in Australia that I know are good quality and are in fact cruelty free products.

We have Nyx Butter gloss in Cherry cheese cake, Nivea fruity shine strawberry, Nivea soft rose, Australis Mint condition lip gloss in happily ever laughter and an evening with?
I wear these products on a regular basis and have come to love them quite a bit! the nyx butter gloss is a different shade for me. I purchased over the internet before nyx was available in Australia at Target. The nivea balms are my go to balms and the Australis lip glosses are my go to lip glosses.
They give excellent pigmented shades except the nivea rose. But they all work wonders for the lips leaving them soft and smooth and supple.

What products have you been wearing on your lips?

Thrift haul! shopping, and being naked!

So I've been doing some thrift shopping as of late and this is my latest get up that I've been wearing to bed! Yes I slept in it last night and woke up in it this morning and this is how I still look now at 1pm haha its a public holiday for us today in Australia so I'm having a chill out day at home (mind you I did just clean up cat poop so its not all lazy)

and no I'm not really naked as you can see I am wearing clothes however I'm not wearing any make up at all and I haven't done my hair. I am actually really pleased with my skin at the moment apart from a couple of break outs on my chin its not doing too shabby.

 no make up day woohoo
jammy day even more woohoo, and I paid 50cents for this tshirt which came from Target originally and its a superb corally colour that I'm just loving and I love the fit of this top as well, its not a jammy top but I just like wearing things mixed up like that.
random butt shot? lol these are my jammy bottoms that I adore! they are so flipping comfy and easy to wear and a cute teal colour with patterning, I picked up these pants for $1 and they are from Millers.
 weird posy shot.
excuse the sneakers lol I don't go outside in slippers heehee
and Minnie is happy now her cat run is all cleaned up :) Isn't she pretty? she is 17 years old.

What have you thrifted lately?

June favourites and feedback wanted

Hi all, today I'm doing a June Favourites post as I have been loving these items so far and using them a lot! they are now in my regular routine whether its beauty related or make up related I've been using them daily. Which just shows how much I love them!

First off the all important items :)
we have Himalayn acne n pimple cream, Palmers Cocoa foot magic, Australis fresh and flawless foundation powder, Chichi eye shadow pallet, and Maybelline Whispers lipstick in Petal rebel. Some of these I haven't had that long maybe a week or more but I've been using daily as I've fallen in love with them.
my now favourite Australis foundation powder which I bought from Priceline for $8 which was a bargain, been wearing it daily since I got it. I have also been using it instead of a liquid foundation and found it works wonders when I don't want to use a lot of make up as I do have a few break outs at the moment.
Palmers Cocoa butter formula with Vitamin E, Foot magic, also has peppermint oil and mango butter and oh my gosh this stuff is amazing. I have bad feet because I suffer lymphedema and let me tell you this stuff works at relieving sore feet! I use this daily, once in the morning and once at night. I bought this from Kmart a few weeks ago just after I bought the other one for $3.70. I love Palmers because they are so affordable and cruelty free. It might sound strange to use it this way but its a fab product for lips as well, I tried it out and it softens them brilliantly.
ChiChi iphone eye shadow pallet in Fashion, I paid $2.80. I bought two of these pallets and I bought these from Target. They are fab eye shadows, cruelty free and don't crease what so ever on my eye lids and stay all day with or without primer. A great travel size too.
I have had this lipstick for ages now! I keep going back to it because its a great pop of colour without being too much and its not hard to apply because some bold colours I find are tricky. I purchased from Priceline ages ago when they had a half off sale on Maybelline and it was around the $7 mark. The colour is Petal Rebel.
Humalaya acne n pimple cream is a great product, I found it really helps with my redness, and I believe its a cruelty free brand which is great as its very affordable in Australia. I purchased this from my local Indian grocery store for $4.99
so there you have it my favourite June featured items.
I was hoping you guys might give me some feedback I'm wondering what y'all would like to be seeing on my blog? I'm thinking about doing some outfit or fashion hauls as I work at an opshop/thrift shop and go thrifting a lot. I am also wondering if you'd like to see more of my pets? and I have other ideas such as diy and awareness type topics as for some of you may know I suffer from bipolar. Let me know what you might like to see more often!

hugs

Rimmel London I love lasting finishe 124 Double espresso nail polish

Hello all I've been enjoying getting into the habit again of wearing nail polish and thought I'd show you the latest colour I am wearing. I've had this one for awhile and I picked it up from Kmart as they were clearing it out ages ago for approx $3 which I think is a pretty good price as far as these nail polishes go.
its the Rimmel London I love lasting finish, in 124 Double espresso and I love this nail polish, its not just a chocolate brown on the nails as it does have a gold fleck in it or gold undertone to the chocolate brown which makes it unique.
you can see the gold flecks in the sun on the bottle and it really makes a lovely dimension rather than just a flat colour on its own. These last a good while too I believe about 3 days before chipping without top coat or anything like that as I only do two coats of nail polish as I am rather lazy at it.
I think this is a fab winter colour for us in Australia as we are now in the beginning of Winter
what nail polishes have you bee enjoying?

Australis fresh and flawless pressed powder first impressions

Hello all! I'm doing a cross between a youtube made me buy it and first impressions on Australis fresh and flawless pressed powder. I bought natural as my shade and I do have to say so far I am quite impressed with it.

I've only been wearing it for a day so far so this is really my first impressions. It is full coverage and matte which is great for my oily, combination dry sensitive skin. I have an oily tzone and dry around my nose and cheeks.

I bought the shade natural. Pricline had a 30% off sale on Australis so I figured for $8 this was going home with me.

So far I'm impressed, its full coverage, really creamy and doesn't actually look like powder when applied to the skin as I think it looks more foundation like. I do think it might be a bit too yellow for me but I can work with it as I can't really work with pink undertone products. I'm not sure yet if its this product or not but I have broken out in some cystic acne on my nose which usually means I'm allergic to something. But I'm hoping it might be more my skin care not this as I want to keep using this. Has anyone else had problems with cystic acne and this powder? would love to know your thoughts.
They have recently changed the packaging but since I never had the old packaging it doesn't really bother me though this one does look a little cheaper. However I don't buy the product for the packaging I buy it for the product.
its in a compact and it has a sponge underneath I did use it but I didn't really like the feel of the sponge applicator. I have read that it is a dupe for the Mac powder foundation which is cool cause its $49 in Australia for the Mac version.
its really smooth to apply and I use my essence blush brush to apply it.
I am going to be buying a stippling brush as I read that it applies better as it has more dense bristles than a powder brush does. So soon I'll try applying it with that. But so far it really does apply well and it does blend out well. It covers all my redness and I do hope to keep using it when my acne clears up.
this is what it looks like on, I didn't put any foundation on under it so its a really good coverage

so over all a good first impression! possibly with a downside but will wait and see

what have you been using as powder?

Palmers cocoa butter formula Dark chocolate and cherry lip butter affordable lip treatment and care

Hi all I got home late from the hospital after visiting my uncle in I.C.U. Hospitals are such dreary places. But nonetheless I thought I would do a little review for you about one of my favourite brands.

I have been using this one for awhile now and I've been loving it, its so hydrating and just really helps to get your dry lips feeling better and soothed, What is this product? Palmers Cocoa butter formula dark chocolate, and cherry lip butter!
It smells so nice! not super sickly sweet like some chocolate scented products and you can smell the cherry too so it makes for a different scent, it goes away after you have applied i but smells heavenly in the tube! one of the pros is that Palmers is cruelty free! and such an affordable brand its becoming one of my bathroom staples.
I love it, I can't remember when I bought it, from Kmart maybe, anyways would have been under $5 at the time. I really love using this product, my lips have been super dry at the moment. These keep the lips super hydrated over night too because if I don't apply something overnight my lips get chapped very badly. Especially in this cold weather we are experiencing in Australia right now. It lasts a good while too and doesn't feel sticky like a gloss even though it does look kind of glossy when applied.

I think for the price (I think it was under $5) its a very good quality lipbalm and because its a butter formula it does work for dry, sore lips. I also like it because once you start using it, it doesn't feel like the ones where you have to keep using it for it to continue to work. It really does last a good while, it absorbs and seems to make the lips feel nice and soothed.
