Organic hair treatment that works! for Australians

Hello all I have been very busy this week so far, I have had my eye brows waxed woohoo finally, and today I am to get an xray because my doctor things I've fractured my foot. Boo. For a few days now I had been in in a lot of pain and could hardly stand to walk so went to the docs and she's all yup think you fractured it. I'm all how? because I don't remember hurting it, because of one of my conditions I have (hypocalcemia) which means I have low calcium I am more prone to fractures.
Anyways I'm side tracking today I have a review of a hair product I purchased a couple of weeks ago from Chemist warehouse which I have fallen in love with! and its this

Ultraorganics clear henna wax, its basically a super deep conditioning treatment that leaves hair feeling stronger and super conditioner. I paid $5 for it on special I saved $1 so even when not on special its very affordable. Its a large 500g tub and I find that it really makes my hair extremely soft and manageable with less hair fall out and frizz.

This is the directions but I leave mine in overnight and then wash out the next morning and my hair feels and looks glorious.
This is the ingredients so its all natural and they don't test on animals and best thing its something made in Australia so finally a hair care product thats easily obtainable for us Aussies that works! I might have to go on a limb here and say its probably the closest product I've used to the Hollywood castor oil treatment. Minus the extreme cost and postage.
even though it says clear henna wax the product is brown however it doesn't colour hair what so ever. It is slightly fragrant though not over powering so, certainly less than the usual conditioner scent. So if you are scent sensitive this is for you.
It's a super thick product that I was surprised that it actually absorbs into the hair! it just doesn't sit on the hair like other masks have in the past that I have used. I felt and saw the difference this product makes on my hair. I am in love!

I rate this 5/5! I've never given top scores before on a product

what hair products have you tried?

Tara the disabled green cheek conure more animal kingdom

I thought I'd do another my animal kingdom post and introduce you properly to Tara! she's a green cheek conure whom my partner and I hand raised at 3 weeks of age because she was rejected from the nest by her parents.
she is now 4 this year, conures make cuddly pet birds, and smart too! Tara cannot fly and has never flown, she has a disability that involves her walking around like she is drunk due to a brain disorder from when she was developing in the egg. But she doesn't let it stop her! she still tells me who's boss. Funny thing before my parter I used to be scared of birds, now I look after birds, take in unwanted birds and raise birds as my passion.
Tara is a snuggly darling, her favourite food is carrot (you cans till see some on her beak) she loves to snuggle up against my neck. She doesn't like cold weather as that affects her balance more and in Winter I really have to look after her.
If  you would like to meet more of my birds or know more of Tara do let me know!
Tara is unique because of her friendliness, she loves my brother in law, seemingly more than me some days haha probably because he doesn't live here so she gets excited when he is. Her favourite things are snuggles and hanging out on her stand. As well as attacking her toys in her bedroom (cage).

So that's it from Tara and me tonight :)

what's on my face Tuesday #2

on

Hello all! today I'm doing another what's on my face Tuesday because again I'm at the opshop! I'll also be taking some fun photos today whilst there of outfits and how to upstyle thrifted outfits which will be fun with my friend Shel. Anyways onto the products! I am wearing Nyx natural pallet on the eyes, face of Australia liquid eye liner on the top lid (I suck with liquid liner but this one is really good because of the fine tip brush) Maybelline matte dream mousse foundation in sandy beige I thought it would be too brown for me but it actually gives me a nice warmth to the skin. W7 Pretty eyes mascara for a full fake eye lash look (which doesn't really work on me but I like the mascara, Maybelline whispers lipstick in petal rebel, and elf gel eyeliner, I'm also wearing Australis fresh and flawless powder foundation.

excuse my hair I literally just got out of the shower! lol If you'd like to see my brush collection let me know!
I adore the elf gel eye liner! its the only one I trust to stay put all day without smuding, smearing or anything because I tightline both waterlines with it and my eyes are very watery.

do excuse the mess of my eyebrows I'm getting them waxed today! lol I had to grow them out for approx 6 weeks as thats how long it usually takes me.

I really love the nyx eye shadow! its super easy to blend and makes out I put a bit of effort into it when it takes me a couple of minutes how I do it :)

Enjoy your day everyone!

face of Australia and Australis make up haul

Hello all on this very cold, dreary morning for us in Australia! yesterday I went shopping and bought a few things that I found on sale at Kmart and Coles supermarket.. Lets get onto the products today I am showing you the make up I purchased that was so freaking cheap I squealed. Literally I squealed. I might have failed on buying a product that doesn't support not animal testing. My brain did a gotta have you moment and it was in the shopping basket. And that was with the Maybelline matte mouse foundation I picked up for $4!

I did however buy the rest of the stuff that doesn't test on animals, and that is the Australis intensifeye eye shadow for $3. Face of Australia products for $1 each!
I am a little worried about the colour, but for the price I'll make it work!
swatches of the very pigmented eye shadow, must get some more of these as they are pretty damn amazing.

I also got Face of Australia liquid black eye liner, a black pencil liner, a gold pencil liner, a pink lip liner and a brown eye liner all for $1 each.
so for $12 I think I got a good deal!

what have you been hauling?
hugs

bigger lips naturally at home!

Hello all today I thought I'd share with you my tips on getting healthy, pouty, lips the easy and quick way without any injections or knives involved.

this is my before shot, yes I have pimple beard at the moment.
You will need a gentle toothbrush, lip balm with peppermint oil in it and or a scrub pre made like the Australis one I have here. Rub peppermint lipbalm or scrub onto lips, gently scrub lips with toothbrush for a couple of minutes because this stimulates the blood flow to the lips, just be gentle it will tingle slightly afterwards.

get a pinkish coloured lipliner, line the lip line area, and then fill in the lips with the lip liner itself.
find a glossy lip gloss, that is shiny and apply the lip gloss, give it a little bit and apply again, two coats generally gives a fuller effect. I am using Essence lip gloss stay with me, long lasting lip gloss in pretty witty.
use a shimmery eye shadow in white or a white highlighter and highlight the very middle bit of your lips and the cupid bow. I also highlight a little bit under the cupids bow on the lips.
 extreme pout (for me) lol

so I hope this has helped? do let me know! I use this when I'm going for nights out,or special occasions!
hugs Jess.

make up collection= foundations!

Hi all today I thought I'd show you some of m y foundation collection that I seem to have collected over time! these ones I use on a regular basis so that's why I'm showing you these and not all of them because I do think there are at least four others that I haven't pictured.
So lets begin shall we?
Foundations and I have a love hate relationship due to the fact a lot of them oxidize on me or it just doesn't stay put at all.

Ok so we have organic wear powder foundation, covergirl olay simply ageless concealor, covergirl trublend liquid foundation, Australis fresh and flawless liquid foundation, Rimmel London stay matte foundation, covergirl outlast 3-1 foundation, Maybelline shine free cover stick and Max factor lasting performance foundation,
This is the powder I had been using before I managed to get a hold of the Australis fresh and flawless powder foundation. This one is just as good coverage however it can look more cakey than the Australis but it lasts well throughout the day.
I rather like this foundation for special occasions, it doesn't crease or slip away. I aslso like using the .Australis fresh and flawless one during the day
You all know how I rave about this one! I just love it, and will be purchasing again for sure! its great full coverage, perfect colour for me, and lasts all day without breaking me out.
When I do have acne trouble and I want a more flawless look this is my go to concealer even though its an eye one. I use it because its a thicker product and gives long lasting coverage. Also it doesn't cling to dry patches.
I love how natural this product looks on me! its a nice flawless finish and it seems to blend in, however this doesn't last too long, maybe 4-5 hours so if you are running errands or such not out for the whole day then this is for you.

The ones I haven't got pictured are the Maybelline stick foundation its great for those days where I'm in a rush, however it doesn't last without setting powder. It creases a little bit in fine lines however touch ups fixes that. It's a great shade for my skintone.
Covergirl 3-1 foundation I love using this, it stays on great and I love how you don't need added concealer at all.

There you go some of my fave foundations, and a couple of extras thrown in, what have you been loving?
Jess

Make up look for Friday

Hello all this is todays make up I had worn for class, I used a  lovely rust/purple colour with the highlighter colour in a sandy champagne colour which I just love the combo of. I love using my chichi eye shadow pallets because they don't crease what so ever and last all day.

so for the eyes I used chichi iphone eye shadow pallet in fashion. And I used Rimmel scandaleyes mascara in the very black shade. And Elf gel eye liner in black. This look takes me about 5 minutes to create because its so simple and effective.

\
on my face all I used was the Australis fresh and flawless foundation powder as I've said before I love it and I don't like wearing too much when my skin is actually behaving itself somewhat. I'm a newbie to eye brows so excuse the state of them at the moment. I am growing them out to  get them shaped because last time I over plucked.

share with me your make up look of the day!
hugs
Jess
