a lipstick love affair

Hi lovelies! well its no hidden secret that I adore a good lipstick or two!or (32 and counting) I also love a good drugstore lipstick, that's cheap and good quality, is there such a thing in Australia? yes! Savvybydb in the last couple of months brought out their reduced line and limited line of products, they had eye liners, mascaras, lipglosses and lipsticks, I picked up each shade of lipstick at the time, and they were $3 each.

Well let me tell you they are not only good quality, they actually also smell really nice when applying, are pigmented, creamy and I have fallen in love with one in particular

This savvy by db lipstick is in the shade velvet, I love its pinky raspberry tones, and paired with my current favourite lipliner in bitter by elf, its magical.  I'm somewhat actually saddened by the fact that this is a limited edition product. When they run out, that's it, no more.

I love these as they are longlasting, opaque, and are so so creamy they don't tug on the lips, and the colour is amazing.

Face of australia lip quench pink champagne

Hello all! today I am so in love with this formulation of this lipstick I am about to show you! its the Face of Australia lip quench lipstick in pink champagne. It's such a pretty colour and the formular is like butter but so pigmented.

The lipsticks have shea butter and johoba oil mixed into the lipstick which conditions the lips and helps keep the colour on.

The finish of these colours are intense, pigmented, yet creamy and smooth, they last a good couple of hours without needing to touch up, and best of all they don't cling to any dry patches, and soothes sore dry lips, if any of you are like me having chronic dry lips you'll be happy about this!

 The colour is muted however its strong after a couple of wipes. It glides on effortlessly and wears well throughout the time on the lips. No drying, no feathering.

 I am just in love with this colour, it reminds me of fairy floss, or cotton candy, and its such a great every day colour.

 The packaging is sleek, and standard, and for $9.99 a great all round price, for a great all round product.

mud matte lip cream!

Hello lovelies! today I come at you with a review of what's probably the cheapest matte lip creams available in Australia! I stumbled across these a couple of months ago, when shopping at Safeways (woolworths) and they had them at an introductory price of $3 each. I think they are now $5 each or thereabouts. However I picked up 3 lip creams, and their cheek and lip stains however I'm reviewing these two shades because one of them I sent to a girlfriend of mine.

The colours are pigmented, and rich, the lipstick/cream is comfortable on the lips, and not overly drying which I like. They also last for a good 4 hours on the lips without touching up, which I also like.

The colours are true to life, as in the tube! and wears really nicely, no feathering, no streaking, and quite dense. The packaging is nice enough and actually reminds me of Elfs more expensive range. 

Over all I think the quality of these lip products are amazing! and at $5 each regular price, nothing beats a good deal right? least the quality lives up to its promise! I love how vibrant and comfortable these are! great for the hip pocket too, and I will be going back for more shades! I am a lipstick junkie after all!

Designer Brand Eternal Colour Perfect Pink Review

Hello again there lovelies! today I purchased a couple of things from Designer Brands as I was filling out a script at the chemist, because if I purchased 3 things I got a free gift. Well I saw that they had 50% off certain things so I got three new lipsticks. I believe they were $4.99 each with the half off price.So I think that's a pretty good price tag for a drug store branded lipstick. I've been wearing it all afternoon and I gotta say, that already I am impressed!

First off the colour, its lovely, especially for a pink because normally I steer clear of pinks, however this is right up my ally as it is a cool toned pink. It's called Perfect Pink. And it was one of the free items that came in the box of goodies.

A rich, full and intense pink with a cool undertone that is unique and lovely, a rarity in my collection of berries and jewel tone lipsticks!

 The colour is truly lovely, I really think it brightens up my whole complexion and I think for its bargain price you can't go wrong. The name of this range of lipstick in Designer brand is Eternal Colour and my gosh these are pigmented. You will not be disappointed with these lipsticks one little bit.

 They are a dream to apply because they are a really creamy formulation which I love in a lipstick as I hate the tugging sensation that some can cause. They actually leave my lips feeling conditioned which is a rarity in lipsticks. These lipsticks have Vitamin E in them so no wonder they feel like they nourish the lips so well.

 The swatch itself was easy to apply, no double swatching needed to get the pigment to show up. I really love this almost a fuschia colour.

 The packaging is sleek, tightly made so it doesn't feel like it will come apart and make a horrible mess in your handbag which is another rarity with the cheaper lipstick brands. So Designer brands have really amped up the game I think.

 The lipstick has lasted me about 4 hours without needing to retouch it, so I'm so glad I have a couple of these now. I'll certainly be picking up a few more shades whilst the sale is happening. Also note how funny is it that the pink pretty much matches the roses my hubby surprised me with today? wasn't that sweet?
