Customizing skin oils for beautiful skincare

Skin and hair oils have become very popular in the blogging community as of late, and with the weather changing I thought it was a good time to test it out. I bought these aromatherapy oils recently and whilst they aren't marketed towards topical uses, if you read the ingredients and check that they are all natural and essential oils, it is perfectly safe to use.

I purchased The relax blend, which has blended vegetable oil, essential oil, lavender, geranium, bergamont and orange. It smells heavenly and these mixes have great properties for the skin. It absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling velvety soft and plush. When your skin needs some extra nourishment this does the job. I also find that using oils, leaves my foundation application looking more flawless, and I need to use less primer.

Next I purchased Lavender and this contains Blended vegetable oils, lavender and essential oil. This says do not use undiluted on the skin and thus I mix 1 to 2 drops with a little water and it works perfectly well. I also love lavender oil in my hair as a frizz fix. It leaves my hair shiny and healthy looking in seconds without the greasy or heavy after effects of a hair product.

I find that preventative treatments for skincare is crucial! and really is better than a cure because a cure might not suit everyone. I use skin oils at night, so it has time to absorb, and help heal any areas. I use a day cream during the day.  I find that using oils helps the texture of my skin, as I tend to get rough or uneven areas around my nose and mouth. This brand is actually made in Australia and their website is Pastelpines website

what oils do you use?

MOTD and mini ulta3 argon oil primer review! glowy and healthy make up the perfect drugstore primer for dry skin

Hi all! I'm showing my motd that I came up with this morning, as I'm super happy with how it all pulled together. I will first run through the products I used, I used 9 products in total to get this glowy and healthy look. I wanted an everyday sort of pretty look, as today I'm just doing some shopping and running errands.

the products are

Hard candy blush
Db designer brands glam eye shadow glutch
estee lauder pure colour lipstick
profusions bb lip balm
Ultraflesh bronzing metalica
Loreal Manga mascara
W7 hd foundation
Ulta 3 concealer
Ulta 3 argan oil primer
Ulta 3 felt tip pen eye liner

This is swatches of the eye shadow! I love, love, love this palette, a great mix of metalics, satins and mattes. I use this on a weekly basis, and love how pigmented and easy to blend they are even though there is a little fall out as you can see on the pan.

the clutch is a handy size, and is very sturdy, I got this on clearance at my local chemist, and am so happy with the quality of the shadows. I also used the lightest shade in the pan as a hightlight! it worked so well, it really woke the skin up and brightened my under eyes.

I love and always tend to gravitate towards these kinds of shades! I just seem to use these shades most. Is anyone else like that? what shades do you tend to use?

The eye shadows look fantastic with a primer, I just dabbed a little of the argon oil primer on the lids and waited until it dried to a tackier finish.
The bronze metalica is the perfect bronzer shade for my skintone! and the blush just gives it an overall healthy flush of colour.

What make up looks have you been wearing?

more soaps that I think are just as good as lush! lushalikes! lush dupes soaps

Hi guys I have another post because my soap collection is growing, I have a supermarket near by that stocks the most gorgeous soaps, they are mostly organic, natural and skin loving soaps, and most don't test on animals and are super cheap.

I got the Thursday plantation tea tree soap, the Colavita soap which is infused with olive oil, the Red seal propolis and honey soap and the lemon myrtle soap. I used today the red seal propolis and honey and the lemon myrtle soap.
They are all under $5 each, seriously cheap and good value, I cut these in half because they are large bars.
The lemon Myrtle one is amazing! its scent literally fills up my bathroom not only my nostrils but has left me feeling fresh and revitalised. The propolis and honey one I not only used on my face and body but I used it on my hair and I cannot believe the results.
It's left my face feeling soft and loved, because I am very lazy at moisturising, and having dry skin I know I should. It's left my hair shiny and frizz free! basically like a hair mask without the effort!
The lemon myrtle oneis the top one, with the scrubbie bits in it, they feel gentle enough on my skin but I am used to the harder scrubs.

The honey propolis one is my favourite so far!
let me know your lush dupes?

diy honey and macadamia nut oil hair and face mask with results getting rid of red skin naturally mature skin treatments

Hi all how are we? I'm on a bit of a diy kick at the moment, which I hope you don't mind! it saves me money, is natural and helps my health, my skin and my hair. I have these ingredients in my cupboards any ways so it didn't cost me any additional monies.

I'll tell you what I'm sharing. It's an amazing DIY Honey and madadamia nut oil face mask and hair mask. It's a two for one diy product! I'll show you the products that you will need for these two lovely masks. I need both at the moment because my skin and hair have been dry as heck lately. I don't know if its cause we're in Summer, or if its just my health or if its just a combination of both. But I'm trying everything I can to get my skin and hair in check and this has helped a heap. I'm now actually using honey as a skin cleanser. It may sound weird using a sticky product to wash your face with, however it works! it washes off really well and it leaves your face really clean. I've read up on it and its meant to be one of natures, natural cleansers.

I will show you the products we will need
Honey, and the macadamia oil

you will also need something to mix it with, and something to hold it in, just eye ball it and see how much you think you need to cover your face or hair.

I leave mine in for as long as I have time for and then wash it off/out.

stir it into together as much as you can, and word of warning, the macadamia nut oil makes everything slippery and it will drip!

and here is a pic the day after showing you the results with no make up what so ever on my face and no product in my hair. I gave myself a hair cut last night and just straightened my hair so I did use a tiny bit of hair protecting spray but that was all.

My hair is more refined, conditioned, smoother, silky, and shiny. It looks healthy, less brittle and feels softer. My skin looks brighter, my redness is totally gone as you can see. I normally even have redness under my make up. So to wake up with no redness what so ever is amazing. I have no pimples either. Hardly any scaring too. My skin feels soft, refined and smooth. I use this twice a week and use the honey cleanser now in place of a commercial cleanser,

hope you enjoyed this littel diy project of mine, what are you diying at the moment? please share this post if you like it, comment below as I read everything and reply, and subscribe to my youtube channel! subscribe to my youtube channel
