skin care, facial and body oils drugstore and cruelty free brands

Hello all! I am shopping my bathroom stash on skin care at the moment, and am showing you lovelies, the oils I often used to treat my skin, when it is sorely in need of a moisture boost.

I love rosehip oil, and have really found it to work great on my old acne scars! it clears the redness, and clarifies the skin making it feel smooth, soft and plush. Thursday plantation retails for $16 AUD however I got mine on sale at coles for $12.

It's non greasy, absorbs well into the skin, I used it as a night time treatment and in the morning my skin has less redness, and looks healthier,

In Essence is such a lovely brand, this is a body oil but its also safe to use on the face, Rose oil has so many health benefits for the skin. A gorgeous oil that is quick to absorb, smells divine and in a really big bottle. Perfect for winter skin relief, and this one is a limited edition from In Essence. Cruelty free and Australian made.

This oil is one that has really surprised me, I love the scent, some don't like it but I do. I purchased from Coles ages ago when in an introductory offer and I paid $10 for it. Palmers always do great skin care products. I love the packaging, the bottle is classy, and the eye dropper it comes with very handy. It feels very lux. Its heavier then the other two oils, but still non greasy, and I use it at night to give it time to absorb into my skin.

What oils have you been loving?

Lush soaps Bohemian Soap review

Hi lovelies today I have a review of one of Lush's most popular soaps! Fresh, citrus, zing, wake me up clean! this soap, is so invigorating! I have been using it this week and haven't even needed to use lotion after, thats because it has two really important oils in it, rapeseed oil and coconut oil.
If you don't like the lemon fresh scent in general you will not like this soap however if you do like strong scents like these, you will be in for a treat.
It not only smells nice, but its also appealing on the eyes, see what I did there? a peal ing heehee, lemon and all that. But yes one of my favourite soaps at the moment from Lush.

Nice lather, nourishes the skin, excellent scent, that lingers, but not just that I wa shed my hair with it because I'd run out of shampoo and conditioner, and its left it shiny, and soft!

Loving lush products at the moment, what are your favourites from lush?

LUSH shower jellies sweetie pie review

Hi lovelies, I'm slowly becoming addicted to Lush, I wasn't on the bandwagon that much until recently as I don't have a bath. I used to envision all Lush had to offer were bathbombs, but now I've been into a few of their stores recently, I have since found otherwise! I'm obsessed with their shower gels, and bath jellies. I thought I'd like their soaps but they aren't as lovely as these products, in my little opinion.

the price for a 100g pot was $6.95, which isn't a bad price, I am glad they do a smaller size and a larger size in case you didn't want to splurge on the extra. And after finding out how to use this product, I don't think a large pot is needed because its very economic to use.
The colour is amazing as its scent! you will not be sorry if you love smelling gorgeous! the scent actually lingers after you have dried yourself off, and into the next day, so I much prefer these than the soaps.
The jellies are surprisingly moisturising and cleansing as well! they are gentle on the skin, and lather really nicely. I only need the size of my ring finger nail! and you can get a nice lather happening, any more than that is wasting the product.
It really does make showering all the more fun! the texture is more dense than what it looks like in the pot. It's easy to hold onto, and you can cut it into chunks.
over all I'm really loving the bath jellies, I think I'll get more of these the next time I visit a lush store! what have you used from lush?

more soaps that I think are just as good as lush! lushalikes! lush dupes soaps

Hi guys I have another post because my soap collection is growing, I have a supermarket near by that stocks the most gorgeous soaps, they are mostly organic, natural and skin loving soaps, and most don't test on animals and are super cheap.

I got the Thursday plantation tea tree soap, the Colavita soap which is infused with olive oil, the Red seal propolis and honey soap and the lemon myrtle soap. I used today the red seal propolis and honey and the lemon myrtle soap.
They are all under $5 each, seriously cheap and good value, I cut these in half because they are large bars.
The lemon Myrtle one is amazing! its scent literally fills up my bathroom not only my nostrils but has left me feeling fresh and revitalised. The propolis and honey one I not only used on my face and body but I used it on my hair and I cannot believe the results.
It's left my face feeling soft and loved, because I am very lazy at moisturising, and having dry skin I know I should. It's left my hair shiny and frizz free! basically like a hair mask without the effort!
The lemon myrtle oneis the top one, with the scrubbie bits in it, they feel gentle enough on my skin but I am used to the harder scrubs.

The honey propolis one is my favourite so far!
let me know your lush dupes?

How I wash and clean my make up brushes cruelty free beauty solution

Hi guys today I have a bit of a different post for you! I want to show you how I clean my make up brushes. I don't use nastmy chemicals, or pre bought specialists things and my product I used is dirt cheap and works every time, leaving no residue and my brushes feeling softer and cleaner than ever!

It's under $5 too!

As the product says its Herbon botanical soap,
The product

What do I use?
an organic soap that has no sulfates in it and no parabens or colours or anything unnatural in it that would be likely to damage the bristles. I mainly use synthetic brushes as I find them cheaper and easier to use in general. My favourite brush of all time is my Kabuki brush by nude by nature so that gets a lot of useage! I use that every time I apply foundation.

How often should I clean my brushes? I have to admit I am rather a lazy sod when coming to wash my brushes but I've given myself a promise to do it at least once a week. Our brushes do a lot of work so at a minimum you should do it once a fortnight.

How do I dry them?
You can buy brush guards for this purpose but so far I've never had any trouble with keeping the bristles in shape with this process. I wash them, rub  them gently in a dry towel, then sit them up right in their container to dry overnight.

So that's what I do to wash and clean my brushes! I don't have top notch brushes but I do want to look after them so I get to keep them longer and not get any nasties on my face.

How do you wash your brushes?

Profusions pigmented and buttery eye shadows in emerald cruelty free

Hello lovelies today I have a first impressions of a profusions eye shadow palette that I have for you! the shade is emerald and it is stunning! in the pan it looks pigmented. And the swatches I'm about to show you do not disappoint.

The packaging is a tad cheap looking but I think from memory I paid less than $4 from the reject shop which is like a dollar store here in Australia. So for the price range that's not to bad, especially for a cruelty free brand as well! Don't the colours look rich?

They are a slightly satin finish, which I like, but the pigmentation is amazing, they are buttery smooth and the swatches are amazing. This was one swipe from the brush that came with the pack, its a sponge brush.

True to life colours, that are so buttery soft. A little fall out in the pan but I believe that's the talc in the ingredient list but from the price you can't really go wrong from this drug store quality.
Look how true to life these colours are! I think for an emerald selection you can really get away with a lot of looks from this pan of colours. Which I was grateful for because a pan of just greens does get rather boring.
I wanted to show the back with the bunny saying cruelty free.
And the typical packaging saying emerald, which was the shade name.

I hope you enjoyed this first impressions, have you tried this brand yet? if so what products? let me know what you think!

Haul! Australian brands, Cruelty free, bath products and thrifted items

Hello lovelies! I didn't mean to leave you in the lurch for so long but with hot weather, work and not feeling very well it doesn't leave me for being in a writing mood on my little blog and I don't want it to be a whinging platform so I'm back after a few days grace. Hope you can forgive me! I know we can all have days like that.

But I wanted to show you some products I have been purchasing lately as I again have been shopping as when I am stressed, I go shopping, its my thing to do when I'm stressed and or just not feeling right in myself. I thin us women are wired in that sense lol. Not to sound sexist of course.

First up I bought some thrifted items because I felt the need haha I purchased these three books as I feel the need to read at the moment. Stephen King was a big part of my life when I was younger and I hadn't actually read these and thought it looked good! $2 each.
I didn't actually get this, its actually at my thrift shop that I work at and its still on the wall, if its still there when I go back tomorrow should I get it?

I got my partner to buy this on ebay because the author actualy sadly passed away I think a couple of weeks ago. And its meant to be a classic and I haven't read it, its one year younger than my age and I'm thirty years old!

So here's the make up haul, at Kmart they were clearing out face of Australia big time, which was good but mkes me sad at the same time. They had products starting from $3. I purchased multiple items. I bought the blush in nutmeg, mineral therapy foundation powder in light, lip crayon in raspberry coulis, quench lipstick in forbidden fruit, and maybelline electro pop in oh orange as I am obsessed with these lip balms for some reason! I got them from my chemist for $1.88 and I also got the bys contour kit in the shade sweet which suits me perfectly, by the way the blush is super pigmented! for under $6 you need it in your life, the contour shade suits my very fair skin amazingly. The video where I try it you can view here.

my contour first impressions
next is the designer brands products I purchased, I got these clearance sale, and I love a CLEARANCE sale. the eye shadow pallet is amazing, I paid $8.00 for it. It's the urban sultry and silky pallet I think from memory lol. And the lipgloss is the Passionate plum lavish lipgloss and it was $4. Now hold the phone! I had no idea db did bath products! and this was on clearance to $3.50 and I can't find any info on it online. But its the mint burst body scrub and its amazing.

The best thing about db is that they have recently been accredited and and are not tested on animals! woohoo

like these items? what do you like? comment below
