Review of the Models Prefer Limited edition "shadows" party glam swatches

I was walking around the beauty section of Priceline and was taken aback by the new eye shadow range they stocked! I was stoked to see that they are all affordable and nicely packaged as well in a cute little tin.

Models prefer have really upped their game in the makeup department as of late, if you didn't know, Models prefer is Pricelines own homebrand makeup line available in Priceline at a very affordable price, they also do hair care, skin care and makeup brushes. Every so often Models prefer will bring out limited edition range, and I grabbed this and am so glad I did, the range of colours is great for day to night, work or school.

The eye shadow itself is very pigmented, smooth and buttery, easy to blend out and use on the lids with or without primer. I believe I paid $10 for this palette, and I love the range of mattes and shimmers in this tin! its quite a good eyeshadow palette to grab if you are in a Priceline store and see it, you won't be disappointed.
I always get sucked into limited edition makeup and if it turns out to be a good buy then yay! and this one was, in my opinion a steal! The palettes also come with this really nice double ended brush which actually does the job really well and is really soft, so for the value of this palette you basically get a free brush included! not a horrible foam applicator.
Can I also mention a drugstore palette naming their shadows on the actual packaging and not on a plastic slip! can we get a hell yeah! finally someone actually doing this.
In the pan you do get a bit of kick back from the eye shadow but on the eye lids no fall out and it blends really well. Doesn't blend to nothing and pigmentation is really nice. I think a great selection of colours that will suit everyone's needs. This is the type of palette that if you accidentally dropped and cracked the eye shadow you wouldn't feel that badly.., maybe.

Often stocked around Holidays and new seasons so its periodic that they bring out these limited edition products.

Have you tried models prefer? what are your thoughts?

Models prefer infinite colour foundation review

Hi everyone! today's post is actually going to be a review on what I believe is my holy grail foundation and its by Model Prefer! Some of you, may know because you've popped into Priceline, probably more than once, (don't judge me!) I'm not really sure when I first came about Models Prefer, I think it was an eye shadow palette probably nearly 2 years ago, since then, I believe Models prefer has come ahead in leaps and bounds, improving their products, branding, and coming out with on trend products.

The sleek packaging of this product is your typical bottle, glass, with a black screw top lid, its sturdy, but not practical for travelling. However this bottle does not come with a pump! which is a downfall for me. I feel that being a glass bottle, I wont be able to get all of the product out, especially because you can't pump it out. The price normally at Priceline is $16.99, however I paid $5 for it on clearance, there was nothing wrong with the bottle, still had a good shelf life, and was sealed and not a messy disaster like most clearance foundations.

I'm quite fond of Models prefer as a brand, I have a few of their products, and in these photos you'll see how the Models prefer contouring palette makes a fab dynamic duo when paired with this foundation. However the colour, which is Ivory, is perfect for me, which rarely happens, because I'm rather on the fair side of things, and have odd things to cover.
It gives good medium coverage that is quite buildable which can almost be said to be full coverage, its a demi matte finish which I like, and being in my early 30's I can say it doesn't sink into pores, fine lines, or wrinkles, its oil free, paraben free, and stays on the face for a good amount of time, I put this on one morning at 6am for class, didn't take it off till 10pm at night and it still looked really good, its non cakey, doesn't budge, and doesn't dry out my combo/oily skin, its actually quite a hydrating formular, which I enjoy.
So over all, I'm loving this foundation, I've been wearing it quite a lot lately, and it sets really nicely with powder as well, doesn't look funky, and doesn't make me look older than I am, which I appreciate in a foundation.

What have you been using from Priceline lately?

Models prefer nudes eye shadow collection matte and shimmer first impression and swatches

Hi lovelies, today I'm doing a first impressions on an eye shadow palette I picked up at Priceline yesterday when I was in the city with a friend, heading into Taste of Melbourne. We spent a glorious sunny day eating, shopping and having a fantastic girly day out together. But here are my first thoughts on the Models prefer Eye shadows palette the nudes collection.

We went to three Pricelines whilst in the city, seeing as they were actually all in the areas we were shopping we just stopped in because they were either out of stock of something, or had different stock of other things.

So I picked up this eye shadow palette  because Priceline had it on sale from $16, down to $12 and I knew these were a limited edition of Model prefer. I was deciding between other palettes but decided this one would suit me best because it has half matte shades and half shimmer shades, so you get 12 of each. Which is a nice idea because I don't think there are other palettes in this price point with the same theme.
I was actually impressed that it came with an actual decent dual ended brush, most of the time its the crappy foam applicator brush that I generally don't use. Not sure if they are trying to copy Urban decay a little bit here, but either way I'm impressed. The tin also is rather sturdy as well, not flimsy cardboard like most cheap palettes I've seen. And lo and behold it actually has a mirror! and a good one at that! enough with the obvious Jess, get onto the swatches and thoughts about the actual shadows.
So I was swatching away and thought wow these are actually pretty nice, they feel buttery, smooth and the shimmer one's aren't that powdery at all, they are also actually very pigmented, this top arm swatch is the shimmer and its just one swipe of each colour.

The mattes actually disappointed me a little! some colours seem to work out better than others like with most shades ranging from light to dark. However I'm happy with the quality and it should work better either wet or with a primer. Not bad Models prefer, not bad at all!

have you tried anything from Models prefer?

hugs Jess
