Review of the Models Prefer Limited edition "shadows" party glam swatches

I was walking around the beauty section of Priceline and was taken aback by the new eye shadow range they stocked! I was stoked to see that they are all affordable and nicely packaged as well in a cute little tin.

Models prefer have really upped their game in the makeup department as of late, if you didn't know, Models prefer is Pricelines own homebrand makeup line available in Priceline at a very affordable price, they also do hair care, skin care and makeup brushes. Every so often Models prefer will bring out limited edition range, and I grabbed this and am so glad I did, the range of colours is great for day to night, work or school.

The eye shadow itself is very pigmented, smooth and buttery, easy to blend out and use on the lids with or without primer. I believe I paid $10 for this palette, and I love the range of mattes and shimmers in this tin! its quite a good eyeshadow palette to grab if you are in a Priceline store and see it, you won't be disappointed.
I always get sucked into limited edition makeup and if it turns out to be a good buy then yay! and this one was, in my opinion a steal! The palettes also come with this really nice double ended brush which actually does the job really well and is really soft, so for the value of this palette you basically get a free brush included! not a horrible foam applicator.
Can I also mention a drugstore palette naming their shadows on the actual packaging and not on a plastic slip! can we get a hell yeah! finally someone actually doing this.
In the pan you do get a bit of kick back from the eye shadow but on the eye lids no fall out and it blends really well. Doesn't blend to nothing and pigmentation is really nice. I think a great selection of colours that will suit everyone's needs. This is the type of palette that if you accidentally dropped and cracked the eye shadow you wouldn't feel that badly.., maybe.

Often stocked around Holidays and new seasons so its periodic that they bring out these limited edition products.

Have you tried models prefer? what are your thoughts?

Review and swatches Shaaanxo palette by Bh Cosmetics

I have been a fan of Shaanxo on youtube for many, many years now and I knew I had to get this palette when she launched it, sadly I wasn't able to order it until recently due to funds but now that I have it, I'm proud of Shannon who continues to strive and grow and improve her videos and makeup skills, I have learned many makeup tricks of my own from Shannon.

I've had this palette for a little while now, and I have been playing with it, swatching it, admiring it, looking at it, that kind of thing. Do guys do that as well when you get a new palette or makeup item? I can't be the only one!

I also wrote a first impressions on the bhcosmetics haul that I purchased and the link can be found right here. first impressions of bhcosmetics haul
 The palette features
two sided palette
9 eye shadows
9 lipsticks
hydrating and pigmented lipstick formula
pigmented eye shadows with different finishes
clinically tested, paraben free and non irritating.

This was important to me the non irritating and clinical tested part because I have sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, I'm prone to dermatitis and dry skin, so it's always handy to know these things about products that go around the eye ball area.

The cost was $14:50 USD but regular price will be $22:00 but I haven't actually seen it change in price at all and its been out for awhile now, that converted to approx $18 or so dollars in AUD my maths is off, not to mention I had to convert postage cost but I had a $3 off voucher at the time of purchasing, Bh cosmetics often do deals.
So my thoughts on this palette is I love the packaging, the actual dual sides of it is rather interesting and unique. The packaging is sturdy, protects the product inside and has a magnetic closure on each sides, which I really do like. There are of course 3 matte shades of eye shadow, and the rest of the shades are different shimmers. The eye shadows have lovely pigment, and are comparable to the Carli Bybel palette which I have as well. All of the shades are long lasting, beautiful and unique colours, and very pigmented, they blend out like butter, and you have so many varieties of looks you can go for in the one palette.

The lipsticks, I'm never much of a fan of lipsticks in a pan to be honest, its not the most practical or hygienic however these are pigmented, dry down to a semi matte finish and on me, they can last a fair while as long as I don't eat or drink oily foods etc. I was actually surprised at the quality of the lipsticks even though they are in a pan. I love the shades, all 9 are pigmented, creamy, don't streak, and are easy to apply. I find the 9 shades rather handy though if I ever go travelling, this will be perfect to take with.
favourite shades are the deep plum shades, the bright pink, and the coral colour, they stand out the most to me. Some lipstick shades such as the nudes and mauvy colours are more sheer and a little less creamy in texture but over all very versatile. I also love that Bh cosmetics is indeed cruelty free and that means a lot to me, as I am converting to cruelty free products.
What are your thoughts on the Shaaanxo palette? have you purchased it yet? I love supporting youtubers where I'm actually able to afford the product and it still being good quality.

hugs

ADDICTED to kmart shopping

Hands up who doesn't love shopping at Kmart? *Crickets chirping* so it obviously means Kmart has upped their game, not only in clothing, homewares, but makeup! I've seen on Instagram Kmart makeup almost has their own little community happening, which is great because at least we in Australia get some affordable makeup that certain other countries don't get haha. I'm swatching today the Fifth avenue blush and highlighter that I got at Christmas.

This brand has been around for a little while now, launching when Face of Australia was taken off the shelves at Kmart. I picked these up in a Christmas gift pack that I paid $10 for, however you can buy them individually for $9 a piece which is still a great bargain for such a good quality item. The gold packaging is very similar to Milani, very chic, very pretty. But their logo FA on the top gives them away that they are not Milani. Still I do get sucked into pretty packaging and am very happy when they live up to how they look.
Fifth avenue makeup has a range of products, including eye shadows, primers, mascaras, and lipsticks etc. I am yet to try the whole range though but from what I have tried, I am very happy with!
As you can see the highlighter is a golden champagne colour, and is pigmented, creamy to blend and not glittery in your face, but somewhat like the Balm Maryloumanizer that it gives that sheen from within look. They staying power is amazing and lasts on my skin all day, without looking cakey, or accentuating my pores. The highlighter is named Goddess.
The blush, Berry Parfait is a stunning dusty rose pink, that is creamy to touch, non powdery, and easy to blend, the brush picks it up like a dream and you only need a little bit to liven up those cheeks with a healthy glow.I think for the pack price that I paid it was a bargain! even $9 a piece isn't bad, if you are wanting to try them!
Overall this makeup brand has really surprised me! I want to try their illuminating primer next, and a foundation so you will see more reviews from this brand! have you tried anything? let me know your thoughts!

THE ULTIMATE DRUGSTORE BATTLE OF THE FOUNDATIONS FOR PALE SKIN GIRLS WITH SWATCHES

Hello all! today I'm showing you my thoughts on some beloved foundations that are in my collection and why they are in my top 10. This is the ultimate foundation review and swatch fest for those of you with fair skin and want to know more about undertones and what might be right for you in terms of drugstore foundations. These I have purchased over time, and use often! some I've been having more of a love affair with than others and some I use more for certain occasions and for different reasons. Admittedly some I purchased due to the hype over instagram or youtube but thankfully it worked out for me as some sadly lay in the forgotten drawer and collect dust.

So first cab off the rank is Maybelline fit me Shine free, stick foundation in the shade ivory
and Face of Australia hd stick foundation both in the shade ivory.

The face of Australia is swatched on top and the maybelline fit me is swatched bottom on my wrist, as you can tell I'm very pale. I don't tan, I burn, peel and go white again so this is a problem with most drugstore foundations being pink toned. As you can see the Face Of Australia one is actually yellow toned based which is perfect. I use these both, The foa one is more full coverage, meaning you only need to use a little to get a good coverage however I do set this with powder due to the kaolin clay in it and the spf. The Maybelline fit me one is great for every day use and I can also double it up as a highlighter or concealer. I apply both with a foundation brush for maximum coverage, the foa is a natural yet slightly dewy finish but not shiny. For me the Foa one wins due to price, and coverage but Maybelline is also good as it has different usages.

Our next two foundations are both liquid, and are the Elf flawless finish foundation, and covergirl tru blend in Elf shade Porcelain and covergirl in Ivory. Swatched on my wrist the covergirl is left, the elf is right. Elf is actually more pink toned then what I would like for myself. I prefer a more yellow tone to even out my complexion but it can be corrected with concealer or a powder. So it is still useable. I purchased this off Iherb.com for $6 so its an affordable foundation Not one of my every day go to's however every now and again I'll remember it and rock it out. Covergirl Trublend foundation is a fantastic, light weight, and also a liquid based foundation. Lighter in tone, I believe its more yellow tone by looking at it. Wears well throughout the day and I've had a long love affair with it as the bottle is half finished.

Two more Covergirl foundations going head to head, my ultimate everyday foundation is the Covergirl ready set gorgeous in which I also have the matching concealor. I am in the shade 105, classic ivory. It lasts all day, doesn't look cakey, and is the perfect in between tone. So a bit pink and a bit yellow. Covergirl outlast stay fabulous is the 3 in 1 bottle that claims to do miraculous things, I purchased due to its hype, its a decent foundation, one that I do wear every other day. It's swatched on top and the ready set gorgeous is swatched on bottom.

Now onto some Rimmel products! I acutlly prefer most Rimmel foundations to any other brands at the drugstore. They generally work out best for me colour matching wise, and are a good range of coverage available to suit different needs. I'm in love with the stay matte one pictured on the left, as with the swatch being on top, the Rimmel bb cream is a new favourite of mine, and is in the shade light. I wear this on days such as school or work where I want to look polished but not too cakey. The stay matte is in the shade Ivory. I love Rimmel because they focus I believe more on yellow based foundations.

Now these two are a little bit different, the Maybelline mate and poreless one I first bought and hated because at the time it was the wrong colour for me, however now its the correct colour as I've slightly darkened as I was as white as a ghost in winter when I purchased it. The w7 foundation is a good favourite and is comparible to the Rimmel stay matte foundation in colour and finish. Both being more yellow in undertone.

So there you have it, 10 swatches, 10 impressions, what are your favourites? would love to know! leave me a comment down below!

Profusion's cruelty free eye shadow palettes

Hello lovelies! another wet and cold day for us in Melbourne today, however these swatches and eye shadows will warm you up, I am sure! I have this lovely naturals one, and a fantastic pan full of Autumn glamour colours. They are cheap, cruelty free, and good quality to boot! I was sceptical about Profusions at first but they are fast becoming one of my favourite brands for drugstore.

This is a stunning palette that creates the most amazing looks! all shades are pigmented, creamy to use and little to no fallout. Six shades from warm to cool, what more could you want?
The colours are amazing, a mixture of matte, shimmers and satins, in six different shades. I purchased these at The Reject Shop.
They are very long wearing on the eyes, and don't crease or smear, and are very pigmented!
Versatile and pretty! interesting shades in both bolds and naturals.
I've really loved these two palettes! and have some more exciting Profusions products to show you!
