Kmart makeup Fifth avenue Christmas sets

Hi lovelies! today I have some exciting purchases that I have made! I love kmart shopping, and I feel that I have said that before, in a blog post here, oops. but I do! I go into Kmart a few times a week, so I'm obsessed, but let me show you my purchases, this will be another show and tell type of blog post so I hope you enjoy!

Fifth avenue had brought these sets out for Christmas and they were rather expensive I thought, but still decent value, but I held off, the one with the brushes was originally $20 but they had it on clearance at $10, the lipstick set was $6, and the mascara eye shadow set was $7, so obviously they were marked 50% off.
Is it just me or does the gold round packaging make you think of Milani? also the quality is just as good as Milani cosmetics so for the bargain prices I paid, I think we have an aussie competitor for Milani now! The blush is called Berry Parfait, and the highlight is called Goddess, I wanted the Peach parfait one but they had run out, I'll try and get that on the weekend.
How pretty is the highlight though? I always love a good gold highlight! and this one is so pretty. I was so excited for the lipstick set, and the colours are stunning! the actual lipgloss is quite pigmented which I'm surprised about, usually I hate glosses cause its just gloss, not colour. Lipgloss is called Heavenly, Lipstick is called Rose. I think the colours really present well, and compliment one another well.

That was all I opened from the sets, now also from Kmart I picked up this pastel cute cushion, it was on clearance from $5 to $3 and I purchased the last two there, I collect fox things and just had to have these!

What have you purchased lately from Kmart?

w7 high definition foundation, w7 light diffusing concealer and w7 massive lashes mascara haul

Hello lovelies! I have a haul, I can't even say its a first impressions cause I only got these last night as I had to go to chemist wharehouse and get some medication for my husband. I picked up these three beauties for $10! I could have spent much more, but I restrained haha. So much for my spending band. Oh well, who can resist such a good deal?

W7 is one of the best drugstore companies out there in my opinion, most of their products are under $5 in Australia, except for their eye shadow pallets in the buff and in the nude and another pallete which I think was their painted pallete which was all $10. But still very good prices, they have also brought out a new selection of nail polishes but I digress.

why don't you grab a drink and sit and read awhile?
We have a frothing machine now and I've been addicted to using it of late but sorry I digress again! I do that when I'm excited heehee.

also check out my youtube prize I've won and unboxed in a video here
prize unboxing

ok now onto the goodies!

The products I got were w7 cosmetics and its the high definition liquid foundation I got the shade buff, it seemed it was the lightest they had. I also got the massive lashes mascara, and the light diffusing concealer. I've not used a light diffusing concealer before so it will be actually interesting to see what it does as it intrigues me. I'm also all about big mascaras because I'm scared of using false lashes lol.
The foundation I hope will be my shade, I did test in the store but the lighting was so off I couldn't quite work it out. But it looks light enough in the bottle. I also love that its a pump because I cannot stand pour out foundations. I generally don't buy the ones without a pump. So I just braved it and did swatches for you guys. I'm actually pleased with the colour, and the way it blended out on my wrist as well. My wrist is super pale compared to my actual face though but I'm certain it will match fine.

Here is what the wand looks like, and at first look it looks to be a dryer formula which I do prefer than a wetter formula in mascaras.

now I must admit I got the concealer purely on its packaging, I mean look how pretty it looks? other than light diffusing concealer it doesn't have that much info about it but I've done swatches and shown how it blends out on my hand.

unfortunately it is a pen nib style one which I generally don't like because most of the cheaper drugstore ones have never actually worked for me but luckily this one was fine.
It's actually quite a thick looking product so I I think it will go nicely under eyes and covering blemishes.
by that layer I believe its a coverage that you can build upon, so it looks like it might blur imperfections such as pores.

So that was my show and tell guys, Happy Easter and if you have used any of these products let me know in the comments! or if you haven't just tell me what you think about them, I love getting to know my readers.

Feature post from vinty_fresh from instagram

Hi all! I have a very exciting feature for today's blog post! we have from Brittany aka Vinty_Fresh from instagram!

she answers a few questions about what gets her excited about fashion, thrifting, and what is her personal style.

What got me into fashion?
I have always been into fashion and trying to stay trendy. I think I really started getting into it when I got out of high school and started developing some kind of style. It wasn't until I started thrifting that it became full blown and I really showed off my style and creativity with vintage fashion.

What is your signature style?
My signature style would be what my name is.. vintyfresh! It's vintage but with a fresh spin on it.

What do you like wearing for comfort?
I love wearing oversized denim, crewnecks and chunky shoes for comfort. I always look to mens style for comfort. I am somewhat of a tomboy at heart but with a little girly flare to it.

Heels or Flats?
Definitely heels! They just make me feel sexy and lady like. Not to mention they make your legs look awesome! Although flats are more comfortable, heels are always the way to go!

In 10 words describe yourself
Confident, inspiring, vibrant, creative, daring, fresh, humble, funny, stylish, unique

Tell us about your shop
My online vintage resale shop, reinvintyfresh, is my way of making one of kind vintage pieces available to those who also have a love for vintage, but have trouble thrifting things like it themselves or just making it easy by finding the things for them. I am very selective with my pieces and try and make sure I have something for everyone! I use to have an online vintage resale shop a couple years back that was very successful, named vintyfreshclothing, but became too much to handle all by myself. This time, I have the help of my mom so I respectively named it, reinvintyfresh, because I wanted to reinvent the store, myself, and the brand and make it better then ever before.

Why is thrifting so important to you?
Thrifting is important to me because it allows me to express my creativity. It is my outlet for this. Everyone wants a way to express themselves, whether it be through music, art, dance.. but mine is thrifting. It is my art and my craft that I have done since I was a kid but developed and perfected over time. It is my passion and it is my way to help inspire others in the world with the message: You don't have to spend a lot of money to be stylish or fashionable.

meet my bestie Angie, vlogging and day in pictures

Hello my lovelies,

I thought I would do a post on a lovely day I spent with my friend Angie. We went to Chadstone shopping center and spent the day mooching about. It was raining cats and dogs yesterday so it was a good way to spend the day. We had coffee, food, ice cream, and laughter and smiles, so I hope you like this edition of a day in pictures.

my casual outfit of the day for a wet and raining shopping day

it was just a casual outfit, thrown together quickly as I rather like being casual for shopping and I still think I looked good.

Angie has a thing for ice chocolates whilst I've got a thing for my traditional lattes! I really enjoyed my ice cream cone as I have not had one in yonks! heehee.

I stopped in at a shop called Pigeonhole and I really liked the look of it, it was decor and home wares. Had some really unique and bright items. Some lovely jewellery as well that I loved the look of, if I go back in a couple of weeks and they still have the fawn head ring I'm thinking about purchasing it.

how awesome is this door mat? no idea what it says but I love the pine apples.

And this dutch rabbit egg cup was just too cute!

I squeed at the pink fawn ornament, totally adorable in its flocked goodness.

And the stunning fawn ring, I just loved it, and was actually very surprised that it fit cause I have an odd finger size.

I really love crystal necklaces at the moment and this one was stunning, never seen anything like it before.

And this gold abstract one was simple but stunning in its own right as well.

And this stunning brooch, actually really did catch my eye, I'm not normally one for brooches however I loved this one.

Then at Target I've been looking at the Sugarbaby range of cosmetics and I've been liking the look of these. I'm hoping to get some in the next couple of weeks. I'm also thinking of getting the ticket to paradise bronzing kit as that looks divine!

 look at the packaging!

hope you enjoyed my day in pictures with me, do share, comment and follow me as it really does help me out. And if you want to pop over and see my vlog in video about this day check my youtube channel and please subscribe! vlog follow us around

hope you are all well, what have you been looking at lately in the shops? link it below!
