my February every day makeup Routine for school 2017

Hi lovelies,
today I am sharing my every day makeup routine that is full coverage, long lasting, drugstore and affordable, so for me, it ticks all the boxs! I love my sleep, and waking up over coffee, I try and plan things the night before like my hair, so its not a wild mess the next morning. It doesn't often work out but I have to tame the wild mop somehow, I'll do a hair post another time, shall I? but this is my every day makeup look for school, I go to school at a college, I'm learning Library services so I feel like I want to look put together, polished, and professional. But by adding a few tweaks it can also be jazzed up for the perfect date night or office party look!

So to start with my Base, I use designer brands by db pore minimising primer, I love this stuff! so cheap and works so well,  I use the ELF that Kmart brought out, the FACE makeup is full coverage, lasts all day and hydrating, I set it with the Maybelline fit me powder that I am absolutely obsessed about, for my oily skin, literally lasts all day, no fading what so ever, and I was at school from 9:00 am till 5;00 pm and I did my makeup at 7:30 am. I want my makeup to last without touching up too often because I'm very lazy. So I move onto concealing the designer bags under my eyes, see what I did there? because I used designer brands correct and coverage concealer and let me tell you, this is full coverage. I love me a yellow toned concealer and foundation to help brighten and cover up my redness. I contour, highlight and blush with the Rimmel Kate moss contour kit in the shade Coral Glow.

In this photo you can see I added a wing, I struggle with wings let me tell you but if I chuck my mode cosmetic liquid eye liner in my bag, I turn my eye look into yass ma'm I use the contour kit in as my eye shadow! the brown in on my lids, and the highlight to add sparkle and highlight! I also make the lipgloss matte by adding a little translucent powder on the top.

I fully suggest trying out the I got the shade light, and its perfect on my fair skin tone, it doesn't oxidise and literally lasts all day.

Next onto the Maybelline lustre lipgloss in the shade mandarin rapture! its a stunning orange, coral shade that's so on trend! this is amazing, full pigmented and so many colours, non sticky and not as formal feeling as a matte liquid lipstick. Eye brows I used my essence make me brow crayon and maybelline brow drama mascara to set in place.
to change up the look I throw in my hand bag a few different lipglosses or lipsticks and my base can change my whole look! it literally only takes me 15 minutes to get ready. I also love adding a perfume of the day and my current favourite is Chichi cosmetics peach and Mango, I get so  compliments wearing it! for mascara I use the w7 tripple drama mascara in blackest black, its amazing, cheap and doesn't flake.
This is literally the same base of makeup I do every day for school, and slight changes can really amp up or play down the makeup look!

have you gone back to school? what's your favourite products let me know in the comments

Eos dupe? Designer brands by db balm balls cruelty free Australian makeup blog review

Good morning! and happy Australia day to those in Australia or for those who celebrate it! today I'm sharing an Australian branded product, which I am in love with! its the Designer brads by db, balm balls! it looks similar to an eos, and the actual lipbalm itself, feels similar when applied, I have a couple of eos lipbalms to compare it with.

Their usual price is $4.99 but I picked up this one for $3.99 as my local chemist was having a sale, I love a good makeup saving! this flavour is Berry bliss, I love the pastel purple of the container, and it smells, amazing! not sickly sweet, but not tart either, a lovely combination that doesn't smell like that fake cosmetic fruit scent.
These also look somewhat similar to the revo lipbalms that were launched late last year in Australia, I am yet to try those. I do love the trend that is a sphere lip balm, it actually does make it surprisingly easier to apply. I do love how these feel on the lips, smooth, and the scent lingers, but its not in your face. Wear time, for me is a couple of hours, because I have severe, dry chapped lips, that need the moisture! I feel that these help soothe and smooth the lips.

The packaging as you can see, is so cute! you get a great amount of product as well, these have peppermint, johoba oil, and coconut oil in as skin loving ingredients and they are both cruelty free, and vegan friendly. The sphere shape makes it great for travelling, and the lid is secure, as is the rest of the packaging. Not a bad buy for under $5 even when not on sale! I'll be getting more flavours!

Have you tried these?

Designer brands by db make up roundup!

Hi lovelies! today I worked out I have a growing collection of Designer brands make up Designer brands by db has flourished lately, the last few years I never, really took any notice of them but this last year however, wow!

I'm going to show you my current favourites of their products that I own, and have tested out myself, so I know these work for me. I also have their full range of long lasting lipsticks because I won it earlier on their instagram prize. But I'm showing other products at the moment. Let me know if you want a round up of their lip products.

A lot of their products are certified for no parabens, talc, and I find that so incredible at these prices.
Ok so I have, ten products! I can't believe actually how my stash of db cosmetics have grown but it has quite significantly. Not only are they're products really good quality, especially for the price point, they are accredited cruelty free and vegan friendly.

So starting off with their Pro contour kit, you get six amazing shades, ranging from warm to cool, I love this palette and for $17.99 its worth it. However I had to buy mine on their website as I can't find it in stock. I also got free shipping at the time which is why I jumped on the band wagon because Instagram was going nuts for this Kat Von D dupe.

Next their snowflake palette, also $17.99 and a Christmas limited edition, so many shades to play with for a variety of looks, I wont be running out of eye shadows any time soon, blends out well, and decently enough pigmented.

Their Glam clutch eye shadow palette is a true favourite of mine! I picked it up half price at my local chemist but you can buy it online. 10 shades ranging from shimmer to matte, earthy and purple based, I love this palette! its glittery silver clutch is also stunning, and easy to travel with.

The trio concealer correction palette I picked up when I ordered online as a free gift as I had purchased three products. Very creamy, and easy to blend, works well on my fair skin tone, and love the salmon and purple for brightening and correcting.

The Pore minimizing primer, is meant to be a dupe for the porefessional by benefit and I love this primer! You don't need to use a lot, it blends out well, and also fills in fine lines, and my large pores which I like to hide, a lot! anyone else out there like me? for $14.99 I believe, looks exactly like the benefit one when applying.

Another benefit dupe is their high lights liquid, illuminated, a radiant glow that looks from within, peachy pink in shade, and very flattering on the skin. $9.99, great price point for a drugstore product, there are two shades, I have the shade starlight and the other one available, is bronzing.

Their long wearing foundation is a big thing at the moment, recently purchased I've been testing it out the last couple of weeks. $12.99 its a dupe for the Estee lauder double wear foundation, which is why I bought it because I cannot afford high end.

Next is the Gatsby palette which was a limited edition but I managed to snag mine amazingly at the reject shop for $3.50! its got an amazing array of eye shadows, blushes and powders and I use it on a daily basis as I picked up two of them. It's stunning rose gold case looks, well stunning!

The designer brands liquid eye liner is one of my all time favourite liquid eye liners, it has shimmer in it but once dried on the eye lid, you can't notice it that much, it was a freebie gift, however so I'm not sure how much it is, however their other liquid eye liners are good too for the price of $8.99, they do have one similar called Silver glitter.

The most recently purchased eye shadow palette was the Midnight moon palette which is limited edition, and I picked up mine from my chemist as it was on sale with $2 off, I'm actually stoked with the colour pay off on this! pigmented, creamy, very good to blend out, you can see my first impressions of it here! first impressions usually $14.99 I thought I'd give this baby a whirl for its money, and I'm glad I did!

what are your designer brands by db favourites?

anything you think I should try next? I'm a huge fan of their eye shadows! amazing quality for such prices.

March favourites pore eraser, liquid bronzer, matte black eye shadow and more!

Hello lovelies today I thought I'd share with you my March favourites before it heads into April!!
I went shopping in my drawers again recently and found my love again of this product! I haven't used it in ages but have been using it a good deal lately. It's great for my dry skin.

I love wearing this lipgloss over lipstick just to give it a little something, its by profusions and their fast becoming one of my favourite brands.

I love a good matte black eye shadow and this one is pretty decent, by Essence and the shade is popeye.

I've been whipping this baby out a lot as of late because its just that nice pink shade that gives a bit of something like you have put effort in, without trying, Essence lipstick in barely there.

When I am wanting something a bit different this one is perfect, especially now us Aussies are in Autumn, the shade is Plum perfect.

Designer brands is also fast becoming my top favourite brands at the moment, they are cruelty free, vegan friendly and this little tube of fabulousness is amazing.

So these were my make up March favourites, what have yours been?
hugs Jess
