Hello lovelies! I'm back and I'm showing you my make up collection and how I store everything! I thought that would be a fun post cause I don't know about you, but I love seeing how people store their make up.
So lets get into it!
This is just an over view of a stand I got at the thrift shop I work at, I paid $12 for it which is a bargain! and it fits perfectly in my bathroom as I was in desperate need of more storage. As you can see I have a lot of products.
This is the top shelf, and I like collecting little china baskets and the likes because it holds things so well and its so unique and cute. And my hello kitty plush is there.
This is where I keep make up that isn't used on an every day basis but I still want it there in case I do want to find it.
This shelf I do use a fair bit, it holds my perfume, brushes etc as you can see.
And the bottom one is just stuff I don't use that often
And this lot is my favourite make up that I use on a daily basis and its a little corner shelf unit that I actually picked up on the side of the road.
I love it cause it fits everything and keeps it off the vanity nicely
This cute little thing I picked up at a thrift store and I thought how perfect for make up storage, I only paid $2 for it.
So there you go my make up collection and storage. How do you gals store yours? would love to know, leave me a comment!

January favourites Australis, Illegal Length mascara and more
Hi all! today I am doing a January favourites as its the last day of January for me! so I thought I'd do it whilst I still had time. Can't believe the month has flown by so fast! wow. Anyways I have a few products to show you and some I am really obsessing over right now! can you guys relate? I hope so. Let me know if you do relate in the comments! so I don't feel alone heehee.
I was worried when I saw the cap I thought it was going to be like the Maybelline ones where it was a pour out one but thank god it has a pump! so extra points Rimmel! this is a 10 out of 10 foundation for me guys, I am seriously in love.
Oh my goodness I am totally obsessing over the length that this mascara gives, and I adore how it fans out my lashes. It truly looks as though I'm wearing fake lashes. I also love the packaging too, its my favourite colour (magenta) so how could I not love it?
This bronzer I picked up from Priceline a few weeks ago and it was only $3 and I love it! for days when I'm looking a little pastey and lack lustre its really nice, It's the Australis brush on mineral bronzer, I also have the highlighter.
I picked up this Khol Australis long wearing eye liner from Kmart for only $1 in the clearance bin, I've been using it off and on and I gotta say I really do like it! it does its job and it comes off without irritating my eyes.
I was super excited when Savvy by db brought the Ultra matte collections out, I think this is the Marilyn Munroe colour. I love it, When I'm not wearing hot pinks I'm wearing deep reds like these. It's a really good formula if a touch drying but a bit of lip balm helps that.
Ah the trend of hot pink lip colours continue, I'm obsessed with cool toned hot pinks, and this one I was so surprised at how pigmented it was! it really packs a punch, the shade is called read my lips and I got it from Priceline ages ago and I don't remember the brand name as its just a cheapie.
However there you go my January favourites, what are you all obsessing over? what are you favourites I'd love to know, for more please comment and follow
Hugs Jess
I am a huge sucker for deals at supermarkets and where I go shopping they often do clearance deals when they want to get rid of products quickly. I picked up two products for under $10 and they were the Rimmel London Comfort serum 25 hour foundation and the Maybelline fibre lash illegal length mascara. I got both for $9.95 so a complete bargain!. The foundation shade I got was Ivory and it fits perfectly for my skin shade and the mascara was blackest black. And I tell you what, I am totally obsessing over both! I've been wearing them both non stop (except for bed time of course)

Going back to school (or work) lunches for the time poor!
Hey guys! so I thought I would post something different because I start school back on Tuesday! I can't believe its that time of year already. This month has literally just flown by. And I tell you what, side note I'm totally enjoying this unusual and very mild Summer weather we are having in Melbourne! especially for January.
Any who. I went shopping today and had to stock up on school lunch things and being someone who is on a budget, and someone who is also extremely time poor, I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite, go to, lunches and snacks for school, you could easily also use them for work. I'm a mature aged student so its basically a similar environment to work.
I also got the Chinese Hot and Sour flavour, so I think these are a fab way to get something into your belly, they are great in your bag because they are sealed. I usually make sure I chuck one in the night before to make sure I don't forget.
These are a hit because again they are served warm, only have to whack them in the microwave, again I chuck them in my bag because they are sealed. These were on special for $1 and I think these ideas will save you time and money. Takes 90 seconds in the microwave and they have so many flavours.
if you liked this post please follow and comment, I'd love to get to know you!! drop me a line!
what are your time poor friendly lunch ideas for school or work?
hugs Jess

First off Asian home gourmet
They have four flavours and I love them! they are super yummy, and today at Coles I was actually very sad to see they were clearing them but I picked up a few for $1.30 I think it was 30%off.I also got the Chinese Hot and Sour flavour, so I think these are a fab way to get something into your belly, they are great in your bag because they are sealed. Special fried rice
Wheat thins
I don't eat bread much anymore and wanted something else as a substitute and thought these were a low calorie way of doing that. Giving up bread has really helped me keep an eye on my calorie intake because I do find it a useless filler.
Snacks
I usually take one of these or a piece of fruit, so that's basically it! it saves buying a $8+ sandwhich when you can easily have things ready, even when you are time poor, like I am!if you liked this post please follow and comment, I'd love to get to know you!! drop me a line!

Feature post from vinty_fresh from instagram
Hi all! I have a very exciting feature for today's blog post! we have from Brittany aka Vinty_Fresh from instagram!
she answers a few questions about what gets her excited about fashion, thrifting, and what is her personal style.
she answers a few questions about what gets her excited about fashion, thrifting, and what is her personal style.
What got me into fashion?
I have always been into fashion and trying to stay trendy. I think I really started getting into it when I got out of high school and started developing some kind of style. It wasn't until I started thrifting that it became full blown and I really showed off my style and creativity with vintage fashion.
What is your signature style?
My signature style would be what my name is.. vintyfresh! It's vintage but with a fresh spin on it.
What do you like wearing for comfort?
I love wearing oversized denim, crewnecks and chunky shoes for comfort. I always look to mens style for comfort. I am somewhat of a tomboy at heart but with a little girly flare to it.
Heels or Flats?
Definitely heels! They just make me feel sexy and lady like. Not to mention they make your legs look awesome! Although flats are more comfortable, heels are always the way to go!
In 10 words describe yourself
Confident, inspiring, vibrant, creative, daring, fresh, humble, funny, stylish, unique
Tell us about your shop
My online vintage resale shop, reinvintyfresh, is my way of making one of kind vintage pieces available to those who also have a love for vintage, but have trouble thrifting things like it themselves or just making it easy by finding the things for them. I am very selective with my pieces and try and make sure I have something for everyone! I use to have an online vintage resale shop a couple years back that was very successful, named vintyfreshclothing, but became too much to handle all by myself. This time, I have the help of my mom so I respectively named it, reinvintyfresh, because I wanted to reinvent the store, myself, and the brand and make it better then ever before.
Why is thrifting so important to you?
Thrifting is important to me because it allows me to express my creativity. It is my outlet for this. Everyone wants a way to express themselves, whether it be through music, art, dance.. but mine is thrifting. It is my art and my craft that I have done since I was a kid but developed and perfected over time. It is my passion and it is my way to help inspire others in the world with the message: You don't have to spend a lot of money to be stylish or fashionable.

Lush, Daiso, Japanese, Korean make up haul
Hello lovelies! today I am showing you a post because yesterday I went shopping with a lovely friend of mine and we went to Daiso! it was unexpected as I didn't know that it was actually there, but now I know it is, I'll be going back there more often!
But I'm showing you my Korean make up haul that I purchased from Daiso that I can't wait to get using!
How pretty does this blush quad look? the packaging when opened is just as nice,is very Princessy as well.
I picked up a pressed powder, a lipstick, a face primer, a mascara and these items from Daiso were all $2.80 each. Oh I also got a blush.
I got totally sucked into the cute packaging of the lipstick!I think it will be great for when I go back to school in a couple of weeks.
I can never have enough black eye liners in my collection!
I just love the packaging on the mascara and think its adorable!
From Priceline I also picked up this savvy by db eye shadow pencil kit because by themselves they cost $6.99 however, this kit cost $4! so I wasn't saying no to that.
Lush had a 50% off table and I managed to get the Fairy ring soap! they had some Christmas stock left which I was totally surprised about. Normally its all gone by this time of Jan. I only paid $3.50 for it as well. I can't wait to use it as it smells so nice, I have the hot toddy shower gel so I'm so excited for this one.
I also got from Priceline these limited editions Essence pieces that were being discontinued for $1! the dark romance collection.
So what have you guys been hauling lately?
hugs
Jess

my first ever MAC cosmetics experience
Hello lovelies,
today I am writing a different kind of post because its something that has excited me. I went and visited the MAC counter today at Meyer in Chadstone. I didn't plan it, it was a spur of the moment thing. I just went up and said, I'd like to be colour matvhed to a foundation. I wasn't sure what to expect, I've seen reviews and experiences from youtube and other bloggers out there but this was something else.
here is a picture of me after the colour match,I think it looks lovely on.
I sat in the chair and waited as she pulled out two foundations that she thought would suit my skintone. The lady was exceptionally friendly, warm hearted and genuine that I didn't feel my usual nervous self in these sorts of situations. She really put me right at ease and didn't seem fake at all.
She explained why she thought the foundations would be good for my skin, after a discussion of what I thought my skin was like. She applied one of the foundations on one side of my face, and the other on the other side for comparison. Talking her way through it, she showed me an application process I hadn't used before. She was not in the hard sell process at all and was truly making me feel very comfortable. I've never had an experience like that, where if money had not been an issue, I would have purchased the item on the customer service skill of this lady.
Someone having social anxiety such as myself and going into a totally different scenario, I usually expect a blaze experience, or even an upsetting one because of poor service. But this truly was refreshing. She suited me with the MAC studio fix plus, and she wasn't even concerned that I couldn't purchase on the day, after all her advice and help.
and I was also super excited because they had smash box, and toofaced, I'd never seen them before in the flesh.
I was blown away by how at ease she put me, and the fact she made it feel as if it wasn't an ordeal or an effort with such a task.
I really enjoyed the outcome, and am considering my first ever MAC purchase! which I thought would never happen. It's fun, exploring the uncharted waters of make up and what it encompasses.
Have you had any experiences like that? would love you to share
hugs Jess

at last, cute shoes for big feet!
Hello all! today I have somewhat of a different post for you. Because I am posting about shoes! I rarely get excited about shoes. Because I have flat, wide feet that are large in size. I am a size 9-10 uk sizing. And I can never find anything cute, that I'd want to wear and be seen in, because usually I live in sneakers.
But today I was wearing these flats I had got from Grosby, and were surprised at how cute they are, the quality of them, and the fact they fit me so well. I have lymphedema in my ankles and need shoes that can expand or shoes that allow my fat ankles to sit in them comfortably. These shoes do that brilliantly. They are comfortable to walk in, and when I got them, they were only $14 so a true bargain! weirdly woolworths had them.
I'm not a foot model by any means, and they were somewhat swollen today due to the humidity. However They went so well with my dress that I was wearing I had to show you.
I love the fact they don't cause toe cleavage and the little bow on them is rather sweet as well!
I do love these shoes for every day wear, they are very comfortable, easy to walk in and don't hurt my feet like some flats do.

Grosby is a great brand that sells affordable shoes, and are very good quality. I wish I had bought another pair of these!
What shoes have you been wearing? would love to know, please follow, comment and share if you liked this post.

Bye Metalics eye shadow, one of the best pigmented black eye shadows out there.
Hello lovelies, today I thought I would share with you, an interesting little pallet that I have actually fallen in love with. I wouldn't have expected this from the likes of brands such as BYS however, they have seemingly upped their game!
I picked up this eye shadow pallet a week or two ago from Kmart as they were chucking it out for a pittance! at just $3 I thought, it doesn't matter if I don't wear it.
Well, let me tell you, these have been stunning colours, not only pigmented but the new wet trend as well!
Lets just say in the pan, it looks pretty normal, but very vibrant and interesting lot of colours, which was what drew me in, in the first place. When you swatch it, you actually see a sheen, because in the pan you think oh, that's a shame, shards of glitter. But on the eye lid, it turns into a lovely, glossy wet look that I have become to love.
In the pan, they come across very chalky and dusty, however these actually blend out super nicely. And you can use them wet or dry.
The top swatch is daylight without any other lighting, and the bottom one is my bathroom light so you can see how they shimmer.
You can imagine how surprised at how pigmented these colours were! I think the black is my favourite drug store black because of its wet looking texture.
excuse the eye liner, I was actually about to put falsies on for the first time so its still was in the cleaning up process because I was waiting for the mess from the falsies to ensue!
They last true to colour all day, and for a super cheap pallet when not on special ($6.95) why wouldn't you give it a go?
This is a look I came up with, using the teal coloured eye shadow, I think this is a great date night look! What do you guys think?
Have you tried anything like this from BYS lately? Please comment and let me know and follow me if you like. Share if you like this content!

how to pick the best purses at a thrift store and save money
Hello lovelies, its an over cast morning here in Melbourne/Australia and I thought I'd share with you a little way on saving money on purses/.handbags and still being able to collect some really super cute ones. I do this a lot now so I know this works, so I do hope that you enjoy this post.
so I'm turning into the bag lady as of late! working at the thrift shop doesn't help and having a huge passion for thrifting doesn't help either! weirdly I never actually used to like handbags/purses either! I tend to look for bags in places like Strandgags, Target or Kmart however, however these can range from $20-$100 at the thrift store a good bag can cost as little as $2.
Thrift shops are your friend
my first choice are the smaller charity shops, because they are the cheaper ones around me. Look for small charity stores where you think they will smell musty, don't be fooled however because you can find some awesome treasures in these. I've been around the block a few times in charity shops and know my way around them, you have to really hunt through the stuff.
So are Yard sales/Garage sales
Admittedly I haven't gone to a Garage sale in ages because charity shops/thriftshops/opshops are my passion but I will start doing so. But I do remember going around in my teenage years with my mum, who picked up some amazing bargains, just like charity shops sometimes you have to hunt. And sometimes its ok to haggle the prices down a little at Yard sales.
Flea markets/markets in general
Now I love markets, the feel of a market is exceptional! it really is, the vibes there are fun, almost like a festival. If you go to the right one. I used to attend a lot as my mother had a weekend stall at a very popular market in Camberwell/Melbourne. So I got to see some amazing treasures at that market. Be sure to get there early, and have time and patience to look around. Some markets are bigger than what you think. Also ask at the gate which sections have which are because some have fruit and veg at one and others have another area set up in different sections, it may save you time.
if you have enjoyed this post please let me know! comment below, what have been your thrifty buys lately? also please share and follow.
Also some tips on buying a good bag
look at the lining of the bag, is it in good condition?
Does it smell? are there stains?
look at the quality of the stitching
look at the handles
look at the outerside of the bag to see if any of the decorations or things that shouldn't are coming off.
Last but not least a fake louis vuitton! I was thrilled with this, for a fake it is so well made, its quite old too. I love using it for when I go out. I also picked this one up for $4.
hugs Jess
Fake Gucci pure I picked up for $3.20! I love it and don't care at all that its a fake.

A cute little purse with kittens on it I picked up for $4 strangely more expensive then the fake gucci, both were at Salvo's thrift store.
